LATUS Risk announced as industry finalist for Professional Excellence Award

LATUS is thrilled to be shortlisted as a finalist in the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILTA) annual awards for excellence for 2016.

LATUS was nominated for “Excellence in Professional Development”, which focuses on organisations that demonstrate exceptional commitment to the development of personnel.

The LATUS Logistics Executive Development Program (LEDP) was developed to fill the void in traditional training and education and has delivered hundreds of skilled individuals into the Logistics and Supply Chain industry in the last 17 years. The LEDP has focused on the development of individual practical skills. The emphasis has constantly been on delivering “Substance Over Form” where participants clearly know the actual “How to” knowledge and not just the theory. But it does not stop there, participants are continually pushed to think outside the box and challenge the status quo.

LATUS MD Mr. Mike Wood said, ”The LEDP has seen many changes over its 17 years with the quality of input and output of participants growing year on year.” “We are now seeing a new emerging group from our Johor Campus in Malaysia where the participant numbers are growing exponentially” Mike went on to say “we are seeing a new trend in Australian participants travelling to our Johor Campus to complete the programs and adding an extra dynamic of SE Asian experience to their skill set”

Mike said “We made a strong and conscious decision at the beginning of the program, 17 years ago, and continued the effort to maintain a high standard of outcomes from the participants” Mike went on to say “this has been a task in itself, as we get a barrage of inquiries from people that want to get the maximum qualification in a shorter time as possible, which in most cases they are prepared to sacrifice real skills and knowledge to get a paper qualification. We get inquiries from people who would like to start and finish a Degree in Logistics somewhere between morning tea and lunch, because they have had an offer of getting a Master’s Degree in 3 months on line.”

LATUS feel honoured to be nominated for such a prestigious award.

The awards event will held on 26 November 2016 at the CILT 2016 Annual Awards Event in Moonee Valley.

LATUS is looking forward to its enhanced programs in 2017, which will encompass the conquering of new demands of those in the supply chain and again give them specific skills and knowledge in dealing with them.

LATUS is an independent Pty Ltd company operating throughout Australia, New Zealand and SE Asia. LATUS can be contacted on 1300 008 386 or Management@latus.edu.au
